PEORIA, Ill. — Murray State women’s basketball picked up a 81-55 win over Bradley on Thursday night in Peoria, Illinois. Katelyn Young was once again dominant with 28 points, seven rebounds, four steals, and three assists. Young moved into the top 30 of all-time Division I scoring in the game.
In her return to Peoria, the Bradley transfer Halli Poock had 16 points and five assists while fellow sophomore guard Haven Ford had 10 points and five assists. Ava Learn picked up 12 points and seven rebounds.
Senior Trinity White put together a solid performance with eight points and seven rebounds. After scoring 13 points and leading by just one following the first quarter, MSU dominated the first three quarters, posting 68 points in the final 30 minutes of the game. Murray State won the rebounding battle 42-31 and dished out 18 assists on 26 field goals made.
Murray State returns home to host rival Belmont on Sunday afternoon at the CFSB Center as the Racers, Bruins, and Illinois State all sit at 11-4 in the Missouri Valley Conference and are tied for third place.
