Wizards at Nets picks and predictions
Prediction
Nets 106, Wizards 102
Moneyline
PASS.
Both teams have had rough seasons, but Brooklyn has been slightly better overall. Both are coming in with some momentum, riding road win streaks.
My lean would be toward the Nets (-145) since they’ve won 7 of the last 8 meetings with the Wizards. But with Brooklyn on the second half of a back-to-back and Washington being the worst road team in the NBA, it’s a tough call.
There’s just no real value in betting the moneyline or the spread — if anything, the total is the play here.
Against the spread
PASS.
I’m completely staying away from betting on a team to win this game. I’ll keep my wager to the total.
Over/Under
BET UNDER 215.5 (-105).
The Under has hit in 6 of the last 8 games between these teams, and the trend points that way again. The Nets have gone Under in 8 of their last 9 games, while the Wizards have stayed Under in 6 of their last 9 contests.
Scoring has been a struggle for both squads — they rank in the bottom 5 in the NBA offensively. Expect another low-scoring game.
