Will it snow Tuesday in Louisville?
AND NOW YOUR WLKY WEATHER WITH CHIEF METEOROLOGIST JAY CARDOSI. ALL RIGHT. AFTER A BRIGHT SUNNY DAY, WELL, THE CLOUDS HAVE REALLY INCREASED THE PAST COUPLE OF HOURS. AND JUST OFF TO THE SOUTH AND WEST NOW GETTING REPORTS OF SPRINKLES, A LITTLE BIT OF PATCHY LIGHT RAIN AND YES, SOME IMPACT WEATHER ON THE WAY TONIGHT. AND FROM TIME TO TIME TOMORROW. BEAUTIFUL LIVE LOOK THOUGH. THAT’S FROM THE SHERATON AND JEFFERSONVILLE. LOOKS LIKE WE GET A BIT OF A TRAFFIC JAM THERE ON THE SECOND STREET BRIDGE. NOTICE THE OHIO RIVER, SOME DEBRIS, THE RIVERS RUNNING KIND OF HIGH RIGHT NOW. LATEST STAGE IS AROUND 17FT. NORMAL POOL IS 12FT. SO IT’S A LITTLE HIGH, BUT IT IS STILL BELOW ACTION STAGE, BELOW FLOOD STAGE. AND IT SHOULD STAY THERE AS WE MOVE THROUGH THE WEEKEND AND EARLY NEXT WEEK. SO BOTTOM LINE, YES, IT’S HIGH, BUT AGAIN IT WILL STAY BELOW ANY AND ALL THREATENING FLOODING THRESHOLDS. I SHOULD SAY. 45 DEGREES IS THE CURRENT NUMBER. CLOUDY SKIES, HUMIDITY 37%. A NORTHEAST WIND IN HERE AROUND FIVE MILES AN HOUR. NOW HERE’S THE RADAR. IT’S DRY AROUND TOWN. SURROUNDING REGIONS. BUT YOU LOOK JUST OFF TO THE WEST. YEAH, A LITTLE BIT OF ECHO ACTIVITY SHOWING UP ON THE RADAR SCAN. SAME CAN BE SAID SOUTH OF TOWN. BOY NEAR SPRINGFIELD AND WASHINGTON COUNTY. HODGENVILLE CLOSE TO THERE. ANYWAY, SOUTH OF E-TOWN NEAR LITCHFIELD, AND THEN BACK INTO HANCOCK COUNTY, CLOSER TO OWENSBORO AS WELL. A FEW ECHOS SHOWING UP, SO A LITTLE BIT OF LIGHT RAIN AND SOME SPRINKLES. GRADUALLY EXPANDING. AND I THINK THAT TREND WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE EVENING. CERTAINLY WILL NOT BE A DOWNPOUR. IT WON’T BE CONTINUOUS, BUT IF YOU HAVE OUTDOOR PLANS, KEEP THE UMBRELLAS HANDY. AND THOSE JACKETS, AS TEMPERATURES WILL FALL BACK INTO THE LOW 40S. EVEN THE UPPER 30S IN SOME OF THE OUTLYING REGIONS. SO AGAIN, HERE’S THE LATEST WAVE OF IMPACT WEATHER. IT’S NOT A HUGE SYSTEM. IT’S NOT GOING TO BRING US ANY HUGE SHOWERS AND STORMS. LIKE ITS PREDECESSOR. AND RIGHT NOW, THE MOISTURE THAT’S MOVING IN IS BATTLING HIGH PRESSURE. SO AGAIN, JUST PATCHY LIGHT RAIN AND SPRINKLES FOR THIS EVENING. BUT AS THE FRONT OFF TO THE WEST AND SOUTHWEST APPROACHES AND BRINGS MORE MOISTURE AND A WAVE OF LOW PRESSURE ALSO MOVES IN TOMORROW. YEAH, RAIN CHANCES WILL BE RUNNING QUITE HIGH. HERE IS YOUR FUTURECAST. A LITTLE BIT OF GREEN THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS WITH THESE SCATTERED SPRINKLES AND LIGHT RAIN SHOWERS CHANCES, WHICH WILL CONTINUE INTO TOMORROW MORNING. MID AND LATE AFTERNOON AS WELL. SO AGAIN, NOT A CONTINUOUS RAIN, BUT THE RAIN CHANCE WILL BE RIGHT THROUGH THE DAY. FINALLY ENDING AS WE MOVE INTO TOMORROW NIGHT. CHECK OUT THESE TEMPERATURES NOW. THIS IS TOMORROW. WATCH THE CHANGE THAT HAPPENS. WHERE 30S TO NEAR 40. SOUTHERN INDIANA, LOW 40S SOUTH OF THE METRO. OKAY, NOW AS WE ROLL THROUGH THE DAY, GET TOWARDS MIDDAY. HERE COMES THE WARM FRONT. THE WARMTH CLIMBS TO NEAR 50 IN TOWN, WELL INTO THE 60S SOUTH. MATTER OF FACT, SOUTH OF THE PARKWAYS TOMORROW. I WOULDN’T BE A BIT SURPRISED TO SEE YOU FOLKS CLOSE TO 70 FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS. I THINK LOUISVILLE WILL REACH A LATE DAY HIGH IN THE LOW 60S, AS IT STAYS QUITE COOL TO THE NORTH, AND THEN THE COLD AIR TURNS AROUND AND COMES RIGHT BACK AT US AS WE MOVE INTO TOMORROW NIGHT, AND ALSO INTO SUNDAY. SPEAKING OF SUNDAY, HERE’S YOUR DETAILED WEEKEND FORECAST TOMORROW AGAIN, IMPACT WEATHER WITH THE SCATTERED SHOWERS, A LATE DAY HIGH OF 62. DRY BUT CHILLY SUPER BOWL SUNDAY AND IN THE LOW 40S. LET’S CHECK YOUR FORECAST NOW FOR THIS EVENING. CLOUDY SKIES, A LITTLE BIT OF PATCHY LIGHT RAIN AND SPRINKLE ACTIVITY. WE’LL SEE 30S AND 40S OUT THERE. DETAIL 12 HOUR FORECAST TOMORROW. JUST PERIODS OF LIGHT RAIN AND SPRINKLES. THE NUMBERS. A LATE DAY HIGH IN THE LOW 60S AND THEN THOSE TEMPERATURES TURN AROUND AND IT GETS CHILLY. IT’S DRY SUNDAY AND MONDAY WITH LOW AND MIDDLE 40S. WE HAVE TO WATCH MONDAY NIGHT AND TUESDAY EVEN INTO WEDNESDAY. BUT I THINK THAT FIRST SYSTEM MONDAY NIGHT AND TUESDAY, THAT ONE COULD BRING US SOME ACCUMULATING SNOW. SO WE’LL WATCH IT CLOSELY AND WE’LL KEE
