How to watch the Zurich Classic on Friday
Beginning Round 1 as betting favorites and defending champions, Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry got off to a solid start, with three birdies over their first four holes.
And though their final score of eight-under 64 sounds good, it left them tied for 28th place. The star duo are six shots back of Isaiah Salinda and Kevin Velo, who put together a 14-under 58 to take the lead.
The brother team of Nicloai and Rasmus Hojgaard are in second at 13 under.
