“On his own in a strange new country, László settles in Pennsylvania, where the wealthy and prominent industrialist Harrison Lee Van Buren recognizes his talent for building. But power and legacy come at a heavy cost …”

According to When to Stream, The Brutalist is expected to arrive on digital streaming via premium video on demand on Tuesday, Feb. 25. While When to Stream is typically accurate with its PVOD reports, the site noted that The Brutalist’s studio A24 has not announced or confirmed the film’s digital streaming release date and that it is subject to change.
The Brutalist opened for an awards-qualify theatrical run in limited release on Dec. 20, 2024, and expanded to theaters nationwide on Jan. 24. Since A24 typically has a one-month window between the time it opens its films wide and the time they arrive on PVOD, When to Stream’s Feb. 25 release date falls in line with distributor’s general release pattern.
The Brutalist is expected to be available for either purchase or rent on various digital platforms, including Prime Video, AppleTV and Fandango at Home. The purchase prices for new films on PVOD generally run anywhere from $19.99 to $29.99.
Since digital rental prices are typically $5 less than purchase prices, viewers should expect to rent The Brutalist for a 48-hour period somewhere in the range of $14.99 to $24.99.
