NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) – Alternate Side Parking rules are suspended Monday for snow operations, the Department of Transportation announced on Sunday.
Drivers can ignore Alternate Side Parking signs on Monday, meaning no moving your car for street cleaning.

Payment is still required at parking meters across the city.
Parts of New York City saw up to 5 inches of snow overnight Saturday, and more snow will hit the city by Tuesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
The city sent out snow plows Saturday night to clear off roadways. When snow plows are deployed, you can check if your street has been cleared using PlowNYC.
During snowstorms, home and property owners are expected to clear off sidewalks. Owners can face fines for failing to pull out the shovel.
