The race, which included both a half marathon and a full 26.2 mile marathon, started at 7 am and wound its way through the university district of Eugene, designated TrackTown USA, and along the Willamette River. Part grueling footrace and part cultural event, the race started and ended at Hayward Field. The top finishers in the Men’s Open division were Matthew Hernandez #2484, who finished at 2:22:31, Alexander Helmuth #2494, who finished at 2:22:46, and Peter Borger, #2477 who finished at 2:22:51. The top finishers in the Women’s Open Division were Kate Landau, #3087, who finished at 2:40:53, Leanne Klassen, #2754, who finished at 2:44:21, and Megan Connolly, #2492, who finished at 2:45:50. In the Half Marathon, the top finishers in the Men’s Open Division were Alex Ostberg, #5740, who finished at 1:05:02, Jordan Gusman, #6317, who finished at 1:05:34, and Joseph Bistritz, #6080, who finished at 1:05:49. In the Women’s Open Division the top finishers were Moira O’Connor Lenth, #6243, who finished at 1:17:21, Hilary Heskett, #5779, who finished at 1:17:40, and Cloe Colligan, #6089, who finished 1:18:22. EUGENE, Ore. — The 2025 Eugene Marathon is this weekend, April 26-27. A Health & Wellness Expo is underway and runs through 6 p.m. Friday at Graduate Eugene & 5th Street Market Alley.
The Eugene 5K begins Saturday at 8 a.m. at Hayward Field at the University of Oregon.
The Kids Duck Dash 8-10:30 a.m. on Saturday and features Krusteaz Pancake breakfast.
Saturday’s Shakeout Run with Keira D’Amato and the PR Project at Graduate Eugene & 5th Street Market Alley begins at 9:30 a.m.
The Marathon and Half Marathon begin at 7 a.m. on Sunday.
