20th Century Studios has announced that Predator: Killer of Killers, an original animated film set in the Predator universe, will premiere exclusively on Hulu on June 6, also unveiling first-look footage, which you can view above.
Directed by Dan Trachtenberg, who’s held the reins to the Predator franchise since 2022 Hulu hit Prey, Killer of Killers is an anthology story following three of the fiercest warriors in human history: a Viking raider guiding her young son on a bloody quest for revenge, a ninja in feudal Japan who turns against his Samurai brother in a brutal battle for succession, and a WWII pilot who takes to the sky to investigate an otherworldly threat to the Allied cause. While all these warriors are killers in their own right, they are merely prey for their new opponent — the ultimate killer of killers.
Josh Wassung of animation company The Third Floor served as co-director of the project. Micho Robert Rutare penned the script from a story conceived with Trachtenberg, based on characters created by Jim Thomas & John Thomas. John Davis, Trachtenberg, Marc Toberoff, and Ben Rosenblatt produced, with Lawrence Gordon, James E. Thomas, John C. Thomas, and Stefan Grube serving as executive producers.
Unusually, this year will feature two Predator features, with the other, the live-action Predator: Badlands, also helmed by Trachtenberg, hitting theaters via 20th on November 7. Elle Fanning stars in a story said to examine an unlikely allyship between her character, Thia, and a young Predator. The actress took to CinemaCon in Las Vegas to preview the film last week.
