ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando International Airport shows Silver Airways flights being posted as arriving and departing from the airport, but there are no terminals or gate numbers listed.
Silver Airways, an airline that services flights between Florida cities and the Bahamas, abruptly canceled all flights in and out of Orlando International Airport on Sunday.
Travelers using the airline showed up to empty counters on Sunday night.
The sudden cancellations come on the heels of the airline’s recent struggles, as in December Silver Airways released a letter saying it had voluntarily filed for bankruptcy protection.
In that initial release, the airline stated “all tickets remain valid, and we will continue operating as usual.”
Silver Airways has not released a statement on its cancellation of Orlando flights.
Spectrum News tried to use the customer service line, but the contact centers of operations are between 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., meaning there is nothing passengers can do during those times.
All Silver Airways flights to and from Tampa remain scheduled today.
